IPTel is a high-tech communication service of a new generation, which offers opportunities for making high-quality telephone calls at a low price through an Internet protocol. For the larger part of the audience, VoIP is almost a synonym to the recently widely discussed SKYPE client, which bravely proclaims its slogan “The entire world can call for free”. In fact SKYPE is a well marketed product, very similar to Yahoo Messenger, MSN, Google Talk, which is very close to the VoIP concept, but is far from the functionality and flexibility of the real IP telephone service. - Joining several independent, geographically distant telephones to one telephone number.
- Voice to e-mail – possibility to receive voice messages to your e-mail.
- Video-conference calls – you only need to replace your IP phone with a Video-telephone.
- Confidentiality of the communications.
- Free local calls – in the context of the IP telephone service, a “local” call means each call that is made within the servicing telecommunication company and that is not directed outside the Internet.
- Web-based interface for tracking the incoming, outgoing and missed calls with a one-second level of precision.
